EEEKK, I’ve been dying to share this Positano elopement!! They said “I do” at Palazzo Murat in Positano, and it was every bit as dreamy as it sounds. Lemon trees, pastel houses stacked up the cliffs, bougainvillea everywhere you look… I’m still not over it.

Why a Positano Elopement
There’s something SO special about eloping somewhere this beautiful. No big guest list, no running around – just the two of you, a gorgeous setting, and a whole day to soak it all in. Positano is small, romantic, and stunning from every angle, which makes it perfect for an intimate elopement.
Palazzo Murat
Palazzo Murat is a historic palazzo right in the heart of Positano, with a garden courtyard just steps from the town’s famous church and beach. It feels tucked away and private, even with the whole village buzzing outside the gates. Pure magic for a ceremony.
Positano Elopement Portraits
We wandered through Positano’s winding streets and staircases for portraits, and every corner looked like a postcard. The light on the Amalfi Coast in the evening is SO soft and golden – it’s a photographer’s dream.

Planning Your Own Positano Elopement
- Pick your season. May, June, and September bring warm weather and a little less crowding than peak summer.
- Plan your travel. Most couples fly into Naples and take a private driver along the coast.
- Wear comfy shoes between spots. Positano is built into a cliff, so there are LOTS of stairs.
- Decide on legal vs. symbolic. Lots of couples sign the legal paperwork at home and have a symbolic ceremony in Italy.
- Plan around golden hour. The evening light on the Amalfi Coast is unreal.
Dreaming of your own Positano elopement or Italy destination wedding? I’d love to hear all about it – let’s hop on a quick call!
