There’s just something about film. The soft grain, the warm colors, the way it feels like a memory before it’s even a memory… I’m obsessed. Adding film wedding photography to your day gives you a set of images that feel deeply personal, beautifully nostalgic, and forever timeless.

What Does Film on Your Wedding Day Actually Mean?
Alongside my digital cameras, I bring a film camera and a handful of rolls to capture parts of your day on real film. After the wedding, the rolls get sent to a professional lab to be developed and scanned, and those images are delivered alongside your digital gallery.
Why Couples Love Film Wedding Photos
- The look. Film has a softness and depth of color that’s really hard to recreate with editing.
- It slows everything down. Every roll has a limited number of frames, so each shot is intentional.
- It feels like an heirloom. These are the photos that look like they came out of your parents’ wedding album – in the best way.
- It’s FUN. Direct flash film at the reception? The dance floor photos are SO good.

What to Expect When You Add Film
- Film adds to digital – it doesn’t replace it. Your full day is still covered digitally, so you never miss a moment.
- It takes a little longer. Lab processing adds some time, so film scans may arrive a bit after your digital gallery.
- Light matters. Film shines in soft natural light, so portraits, getting ready, and golden hour are perfect for it.
- You don’t have to do anything different! Just be yourselves and I’ll take care of the rest.

A Fun Bonus Idea: Disposable Cameras
Want even more film? Put a few disposable cameras out for your guests at cocktail hour or on the tables. You’ll get the funniest, sweetest candid moments from your friends’ point of view.
If you want film to be part of your wedding day, let me know when we chat!! I cannot wait to shoot a few rolls of your love story.
